LOUISIANA, Mo. — The Louisiana Area Historical Museum plans to sell “History Lives” sweatshirts during Colorfest.
Adult sizes small, medium and large will be available in navy blue with white lettering for $20. Sizes 1X, 2X and 3X will go for $25. The items were made by Frank + Ruby screen printing and custom apparel of downtown Louisiana.
The museum will have a booth in front of its building at 304 Georgia. A limited supply of Mo Mo the Missouri Monster t-shirts also will be available.
“History Lives” is the monthly series of public service announcements about Pike County’s past. The 30-second spots air on KJFM Radio, which co-sponsors the segments.
Proceeds from sweatshirt sales will help with museum renovations. The facility is in the midst of a $73,000 project that includes new windows, an updated façade, tuckpointing and historical molding.
Two other phases are planned. The work has been made possible by generous donations.
