Linda Beer, left, of the Louisiana Area Historical Museum looks over postcards featuring Louisiana scenes with Mike and Charlotte Howden of Corpus Christi, Texas. The Howdens donated the postcards to the museum March 14. Howden’s great-grandfather, William Joseph Howden, came to the United States from England at age 15 in 1866 and moved to Louisiana in the 1870s. The postcards show a variety of local landmarks and events. The museum is closed for the season, but plans to open Memorial Day Weekend.
