
LOUISIANA, Mo. — Louisiana Community Betterment is sponsoring the Business Scarecrow Decorating Contest for businesses throughout the Louisiana area. Businesses wishing to participate must return their entry form along with the $15 entry fee to LCBA by the deadline of Friday, September 29th. The entry fee covers the cost of 1 – 1×2 wooden cross bar for the scarecrow body and 1 – 3ft. rod to mount the scarecrow on.
The contest judges will be driving the area between Wed., October 11th and Wed., Oct. 18th to select the winners. The 3 winners will be announced on Friday, October 20th. A 1st, 2nd. and 3rd. place trophy will be awarded to the winners for “bragging rights!”
“This is such a fun way to get our community decorated for the Fall season, the upcoming Colorfest, and a little “friendly competition” among friends is always a great way to inspire creativity,” stated Diana Huckstep, LCBA Chairperson.
