
BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — The Bowling Green Bobcats welcome in the Warrenton Warriors for the final Bowling Green home game for the 2023 season.
The Bobcats are heading into the contest with a 9-11 record this season, as they defeated the Clopton Hawks on senior night, 10-0. The Warriors head into the game with a 12-11 on the season, as they won their last contest against the Sullivan Eagles, 15-3. Bowling Green dropped the last game against Warrenton, 4-3 in Warrenton. The last time that the Bobcats defeated the Warriors was in 2021, when the Bobcats got the win at home with a score of 12-11.
Bowling Green scores an average of six runs per game, while they allow six runs per game to the opposing team. Warrenton scores an average of eight runs per game, while they allow seven runs per game to the opposing dugout. Both teams suffered losses at the hands of the Wright City Wildcats, but the Warriors were able to beat the Hannibal Pirates 11-1, while the Bobcats fell to the Pirates 11-0. Bowling Green will face the Lutheran St. Charles Cougars in the first round of the Class Four District Six tournament. Warrenton has yet to see their opponent for their first game of the Class Five District Four tournament.
