KJFM SPORTS — The 2023 Louisiana High School track season is slowly coming to an end. For the Bulldogs though, a bright postseason is ahead of them.
Many Louisiana athletes are currently ranked in the top ten in the district and conference. Some are even holding the top spot in their event category. Sophomore Jamal Blackwell is presently at the top of the EMO Conference for boys’ 110-meter hurdles. Sophomore Jordan Pedersen is also currently the first in the conference for girls’ high jump. Many athletes are also ranked number one in their event for the Class 2 District 2. Some of these athletes are, sophomore Deaira Mcglothlin for girls’ 100-meter hurdles, Jordan Pedersen for girls’ high jump, Junior D’Marko Green for boys’ 200-meter dash, Jamal Blackwell for boys’ high jump, and senior Jase Luck for boys’ javelin. The boys’ 4×100 meter relay is also the top in the district.
The Louisiana Bulldogs will hopefully come home with many medals this Tuesday from the EMO conference meet. If they keep up this work, great things may also come from districts, sectionals, and state in the following weeks.
Support these athletes as they participate in the Conference EMO Track meet in Wright City on Tuesday. The field events will start at 3:30pm.
