SILEX, Mo. – The Silex Owls wins contest against Wellsville-Middletown on Monday, 7-4

Silex got things started in the first inning when Tyler Twellman singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Hunter Hubbard led things off on the mound for the Owls. The righty surrendered three runs on three hits over five innings, striking out 14.

Mason Guzy led things off on the hill for Wellsville-Middletown. Guzy allowed four runs on one hit.

Silex racked up eight hits in the game. Hubbard and Kameron Garcia each managed multiple hits for the Owls. Garcia and Hubbard all had two hits to lead Silex.

Wellsville-Middletown tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases.
