
LOUISIANA, Mo. – The Louisiana Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead over Van-Far and took home a 5-1 victory on Friday. The Bulldogs early scoring began with a fielder’s choice by Kenny McCormick in the first inning, followed by a single by Gaven Crabtree in the second inning, and a single by Brady Fisher in the second inning.
Louisiana pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Crabtree singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run and Fisher singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Jack Logan was credited with the victory for Bulldogs. Logan lasted seven innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out 13 and walking zero.
Reece Culwell was on the mound for Van-Far. The pitcher surrendered five runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out nine.
Fisher led Bulldogs with two hits in three at bats.
