KJFM SPORTS — A walk-off single propelled the Pleasant Hill/Western Wild Wolves to a decisive, dramatic victory over Griggsville-Perry, 14-13. The Wild Wolves trailed 13-12 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Jaxen White singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

There was plenty of action on the basepaths as the Wild Wolves collected ten hits and the Tornadoes had 17.

Griggsville-Perry fired up the offense in the first inning. Colby Tate drove in one when Tate singled. The Tornadoes scored five runs in the third inning. The big inning for Griggsville-Perry came thanks to singles by Wyatt Lipcaman and Logan Evans, an error on a ball put in play by Michael Myers, and a double by Lane Lipcaman.

Alex Peters earned the win for Pleasant Hill/Western. The pitcher surrendered two runs on five hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking zero.

Lipcaman took the loss for Griggsville-Perry. The hurler allowed seven hits and eight runs over four and a third innings, striking out three.

White started the game for the Wild Wolves. The righty went two and a third innings, allowing 11 runs on 12 hits and striking out three Holden Dunham started the game for the Tornadoes. The pitcher lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out three.

Pleasant Hill/Western racked up 10 hits. Blane Miller, White, and Peters each managed multiple hits for the Wild Wolves. Miller went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Pleasant Hill/Western in hits.

The Tornadoes saw the ball well, racking up 17 hits in the game. Tate, Myers, Lipcaman, and Evans each had multiple hits for Griggsville-Perry. Tate led the Tornadoes with four hits in five at bats. Griggsville-Perry tore up the base paths, as six players stole at least two bases. Lipcaman led the way with three.
