KJFM SPORTS — The Bulldogs have not gone down without a fight this season. The Bulldogs put up a battle against United High School in Monmouth, Ill. this past Monday. They are hoping to continue that same attitude as they face Pittsfield this Friday.

The Bulldogs did a better job of defending the plate Monday night. The pitchers for Louisiana were Brady Fisher and Jack Logan. The final score ended up being 6-2. The Bulldogs had no runs at all until the top of the sixth inning when they scored two. Sophomore Brady Sheppard scored one of those runs and junior Cameron Hunt was a pinch runner scoring a run also. They kept up with United for most of the game until the final inning. The score was then 3-2 until the final inning when United scored three more runs winning the game. Fans saw a huge improvement in Louisiana’s hitting skills and defensive skills. Hopefully, they can continue to work on their hitting skills and get a few more hits per game.

The Bulldogs are facing the Pittsfield Saukees from across the river. The Bulldogs are going to have to do a better job on Friday making sure that Pittsfield does not continuously score on them. Louisiana is allowing an average of six runs per game against them, offensively, the Bulldogs average 2.4 runs a game. They have only had one home run of the season from senior Gaven Crabtree. The Bulldogs are still searching for that first win of the season.

Come support the Louisiana Bulldogs as they face Pittsfield at Wallace Memorial Park in Louisiana Friday. The Louisiana Bulldogs are celebrating Good Friday by inviting the student body to a fish fry. They will start serving fish at 4pm and game time is 5pm.
