KJFM SPORTS — The 2023 high school golf season has just started, and the Louisiana golf team is ready for what is to come. This Wednesday they have their first home golf match of the year.
The Bulldogs have many new golfers who are stepping onto the course this year. Louisiana is hoping that they will help contribute greatly to the team. The team is excited to see what they can bring and what all they can accomplish.
The Bulldogs had their first golf match last Wednesday in Mexico. This was an opportunity for the team to see what they can do out on the greens. Freshman Quincy Mooney had the low score of 59 with an overall team score of 243. The returning golf players this year are seniors Mason Howland, Jacob St. Clair and Syler Feldewerth, all who competed at last week’s match.
The Bulldogs will be joined by many other area schools at the meet on Wednesday. These schools are Bowling Green, Clopton, Silex, Van-Far, and Wright City. It is going to be an EMO conference showdown between the teams.
Head out this Wednesday, March 29 to see the Louisiana Bulldog golf team and other teams from around the area. The meet will take place at the Pike County Country Club and starts at 4pm.
