PIKE COUNTY, Mo. — Linda Beer, left, of the Louisiana Area Historical Museum presents a $300 check to Linda and Dan Hutton of Eolia. The Huttons won the museum’s Cupid’s Couples contest co-sponsored by KJFM Radio, The People’s Tribune, Bowling Green Times and The Louisiana Press-Journal. Married couples from Pike County, Mo., were asked to write short essays describing a funny or unique experience from their courtship, ceremony or honeymoon. The Huttons’ was judged the best, as it revealed his mother unexpectedly showed up on their 1975 honeymoon to Florida.
