LOUISIANA, Mo. — Christmas trees are being turned into creature features in Louisiana.
The Louisiana Chamber of Commerce is selling Mo Mo the Missouri Monster ornaments. The decorations mark the 50th anniversary of the 1972 sightings of the large, hairy, stinky beast.
While there are books, movies and even a song about Mo Mo, no concrete proof has ever been found. But since the legend dates back to Native American times, many believe that such a behemoth exists.
The Mo Mo ornaments are 10 dollars each and depict the elusive critter in a Santa Claus hat. An inscription says “Mo Mo wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.”
If you’d like one, call the chamber at 573-754-5921 for information.
