LOUISIANA, Mo. — On November 26 the Veteran’s Color Guard led the Louisiana Winter Wonderland Parade. The guard was founded in 2013 by Ed Pennington and two original members Don Morton and Matt Magee continue to march in parades. Hayden Adkison now 94, at 87 was the oldest participating member of the Color Guard. The Color Guard has led over 50 parades and has presented the Colors at numerous events.

The requirements for any veteran who would like to participate are: his or her military uniform (or facsimile of) and be physically fit to march a maximum of 20 minutes.

The present active members are: Danny Guthrie, Jim Kirklink, Matt Magee, Don Morton, Maurine Perry and Clark Roberts.
