PIKE COUNTY, Mo. — Raintree Arts Council will be holding its 48th annual Art Show and Competition at the Apple Shed in Clarksville on Oct. 8 and 9 in conjunction with Applefest.

Entries for students grades K-12 must be submitted by Sept. 30 and be nine inches square on 10-inch black square, with a tag in New Times Roman 18-point font that includes the  student’s name, grade and school. Students are allowed three entries with a fee of $1 each.

Adult entries in amateur, professional and photography categories will be accepted from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 5 or 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Apple Shed. Fee is $7 per entry for non-Raintree members and $5 for members.

Art will be judged Oct. 7, with a reception at 6:30 that evening. The judge is John Troy, an associate professor from Lindenwood University.

Raintree and People’s Bank & Trust will hold a youth art show during Louisiana Colorfest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 15 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 16 at 421 Georgia Street.

Art for the Colorfest show must be delivered by Oct. 11 to 1905 Georgia Street. Each work should be identified with a tag with New Times Roman 18-point font a d name, grade, school and teacher.

The show will be judged by Culver-Stockton College Associate Art Professor Michael Chlebanowski. People’s Bank & Trust has generously sponsored expenses for this show.

Raintree Arts Council is a non-profit, multi-disciplinary arts organization that covers Pike and Lincoln counties and receives some financial assistance from the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
