BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — The Bowling Green Bobcats made school history in 2021 by defeating the Palmyra Panthers for the first time in school history and Friday night they continued their winning streak as they defeated the Panthers 71-12.
In a game that started with both teams scoring quickly got out of hand as the Bobcats offense and defense both were playing top notch football, with scoring coming from both sides of the ball. Senior quarterback Dylan Dalton found his usual targets of Marcus Starks, Brandon Gamm, and the Bryant brothers – Gunner and Bleyne, all scoring on the night.
At the half Bowling Green had put up 64 points to Palmyra’s six. The 64 points tied for 15th place in the MSHSAA record book for most points in a half. The Bobcats have next Friday night off, but travel to Macon on Saturday, Sept. 10 to face St. Mary’s Academy of Kansas. When talking with Bobcat’s Head Coach Joe Chinn, he said he didn’t know much about the team but looked forward to opportunity for the boys to play.
