BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — Wednesday night at this year’s Pike County Fair was supposed to be for the truck and tractor pullers. Fair board members and volunteers worked the Nolan Miller Pulling Track to try and get it ready for the first of two nights of pulling. After about an hour and a half delay, the first Eastern Missouri Puller headed down the track.
On the small stage the Little Mr. & Miss Pike County were crowned. Kids from around the area talked with Amy Jo Biggs during the interview process, danced the Chicken Dance and wowed the crowd on hand with their freestyle dance moves. At the end of the night Sawyer Stribling and McKinli Scherder were crowned this year’s winners.
The carnival rides were full of kids of all ages throughout the evening. Other events on Wednesday included the Western Fun Horse show in the horse arena and the swine livestock show
