MISSOURI — Representative Chad Perkins voiced his support for HB 3021. HB 3021 is sponsored by House Budget Chair Cody Smith (R-Carthage). This legislation would provide up to $500 based on the amount of personal income tax paid in 2021.
“With record high inflation that is affecting the price of everything from fuel to medicine to food, the least we can do is provide some financial relief to those affected by the federal government’s gross mismanagement of our current economic situation” Perkins stated.
Perkins continued, “We were told that this inflation would be transitory, it is not. The decision to support HB 3021 is rooted in my belief that individuals are the best equipped to determine their greatest needs. They do not need another government program or bureaucrat telling them how to live their lives or spend their money
Rep. Perkins is calling on his colleagues to act quickly, saying, “My constituent’s need relief now. This is the best and most effective and efficient way to distribute the budget surplus. Let’s show the citizens of this state that we can act quickly when their need is greatest.”
