PIKE COUNTY, Mo. — The season for paddlefishing on the Mississippi River will begin on March 15 and continue through May 15, 2022. The paddlefish is a sharklike fish with a greatly elongated paddle-like snout. Bluish-gray to blackish on back, grading to white on belly.
