LOUISIANA, Mo. — A group of musicians welcomed parishioners to Christmas Eve services at Centenary United Methodist Church in Louisiana. Performances in past years have been held during much colder weather. A record high temperature of 72 degrees — which topped the old mark of 70 from 2012 — was welcomed by all except those who like snow for the holiday. The service included Bible readings and Christmas hymns as well as a performance by Centenary’s hand bell choir.
