BOWLING GREEN, Mo.– Bowling Green’s Cooper Kiel signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Central Methodist University on Friday afternoon.
Kiel is a dual-sport athlete at Bowling Green, participating in football and baseball all four years. He has had success on the football field and baseball diamond, but his passion is baseball.
“From a young age, I always played baseball more than I played football. Playing baseball at the college level was just an easy transition for me,” said Kiel.
Kiel has played travel baseball for the “Athletics” club and spends his summers on the diamond. He plans to continue his career with CMU, a perfect fit for the stand-out athlete.
“They have great academics and even better athletics. The campus is great, the teachers are nice, and the coaches are awesome. Everything at Central Methodist is well-rounded and perfect for me,” said Kiel with pride.
Kiel hopes to major in Physical Therapy at CMU and will play his first season as an Eagle in Spring 2023.
