CLARKSVILLE, Mo. — Raintree Arts Council has a rare treat in store for people who love to dance.
The band Sentimental Journey is performing from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Apple Shed in Clarksville. Tickets are $20 per person at the door.
Sentimental Journey is based in suburban St. Louis and has performed across the nation for more than 30 years.
The 15-piece band plays dance music from the 1940s to the present, and has been known to do audience participation on tunes such as “Woodchopper’s Ball.” Albums include “By Request,” “Express,” “Flying High” and “Sentimental Journey Live.”
The Halloween Eve dance includes a costume contest for best-dressed male and female.
The concert is just one of many activities sponsored by Raintree, a non-profit, multi-disciplinary arts organization that received partial funding from the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
