
CLARKSVILLE, Mo. — 2021 Press Release for the 43rd Annual Clarksville Applefest:
Bring your family and friends to enjoy a beautiful autumn drive along scenic Highway 79 to Clarksville. The 43rd Annual Applefest will be held on Saturday, October 9th and Sunday, October 10th. This event is kicked-off on Saturday at 10 am with a parade that stretches the length of town (and then some.) Find a good viewing spot along Highway 79.
There will be a great craft and vendor show in the historic Apple Shed. There will be shawls, scarves, fleece blankets, cornbags, afgans, pillow cases, jewelry, potholders, aprons, crochet items, t-shirts and sweatshirts, onesies, tea towels, table toppers and runners. Then there are the bird feeders, wooden plaques and signs, tumblers and baby bottles, wreaths, kitchen counter canisters and décor, wooden jewelry boxes, candles, wooden crafts, ceramics, bath products, soaps and salves, oils and lotions, face painting, Sentsy, Paparazzi, Color Street Dry Nail Polish. Did I mention food? Salsa, honey, ice cream, breads, fudge, cakes, cookies, applebutter, jellies, candy, pickles and relish, apple cider, quick breads, kabobs, kettle corn, pork rinds. You can find food at the American Legion and the VFW and in the Shed itself. You might see a Queen Contest, a Baby Contest and an Apple Anything Cooking Contest and auction.
The Clarksville Library will hold a Book Sale on Saturday. And there will be a Fiddler’s Contest in the American Legion at 2pm on Saturday. The Shed will also host Raintree Arts Council’s Annual Art/Photography Contest.
