EAGLE 102 SPORTS – Last year was the inaugural Twin Pike Ryder Cup competition pitting country clubs in Missouri and Illinois against each other to determine which county can lay claim to being the home of the area’s top golfers.
Old Orchard Country Club in Pittsfield and Pike County Country Club (PPCC) in Louisiana will once again serve as backdrops to determine if the trophy and bragging rights will remain in Pike County, Missouri.
The cornerstone for the selection process of each Ryder Cup team involves their annual club championship tournament results. This year, both country clubs opted for a play-in tournament to fill the final spots in their 16-man rosters, and both teams have 11 players on each roster that also played in last year’s Ryder Cup.
