
KJFM SPORTS– The Bowling Green Lady ‘Cats defeated the Montgomery County Wildcats 3-2 on Tuesday night in seven innings of tight EMO Conference play.
Both teams were strong in the circle Tuesday, but Bowling Green was victorious over Montgomery County.
Montgomery County got things started in the second inning. An error scored one run for Montgomery County.
The red and black pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third, Tanner Turner singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Later in the inning, sophomore Delaney Feldmann singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Turner led Bowling with two hits in three at-bats in Tuesday’s match.
In addition to her success at the plate, Turner also toed the rubber for Bowling Green, picking up another win on the season. The pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out ten and walking zero.
Brooklynn Fischer was in the circle for Montgomery County allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out six and walking one.
