LOUISIANA, Mo. — The not-for-profit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) teamed with Boy Scouts Troop 156 of Louisiana to install a Feed Your Neighbors Food Box outside the Scout House in Louisiana’s Sunset Park. Pictured putting in the concrete foundation are, from left, are Brennen Starman, Michael Chidster and Will Chidster. The free, 24-hour service is available to those who want to pick up food and hygiene products or drop them off. The goal is to supplement other local programs by offering another option for people in need. NECAC operates Feed Your Neighbor Food Boxes in eight of its 12 counties. More information about the program is available by calling the NECAC Pike County Service Center at 573-324-2207.
