
LOUISIANA, Mo.– The Bowling Green Lady ‘Cats defeated the Louisiana Lady Bulldogs 10-0 in the Battle of Highway 54 matchup Thursday night. Bowling Green jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the first inning, putting pressure on Louisiana’s offense to score and cut the deficit.
Another excellent performance from Bowling Green’s Tanner Turner made a Louisiana comeback far from easy. Turner allowed one hit and posted twelve strikeouts in the six innings of conference play.
Louisiana’s Alli Jenkins was the only Bulldog with a hit on the night. The sophomore’s stand-up double to the left-centerfield gap came in the bottom of the first inning.
Bowling Green and Louisiana will be back in action on Tuesday night following a long Labor Day weekend. Bowling Green will battle Elsberry at home with first pitch set for 5:00 PM. Louisiana travels to Silex for a 5:00 PM EMO Conference match.
