LOUISIANA, Mo.– The Louisiana Bulldogs fell to the North Callaway Thunderbirds 40-0 Friday night. The conference match-up was back and forth for much of the first quarter due to impressive defense from both sides. With less than five minutes left in the first quarter, North Callaway rallied behind an interception and picked up their first touchdown. The Thunderbirds went on to score three more touchdowns in the second quarter, establishing a 28 point leadheading into half-time. Despite Louisiana’s attempts to move the ball down the field and across the goal line, North Callaway’s defense put an end to Louisiana’s offensive threats.
The Bulldogs fall to 0-1 on the season and in EMO Conference play. The team will travel to Montgomery County next Friday for another conference matchup. Find coverage of area sports by staying tuned to 102.1FM or by listening to Eagle 102 through the KJFM Radio app or online at kjfmradio.com.
