BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green Bobcat senior Charlie Bowen opened Friday’s game with a touchdown return and the Bobcats never looked back as they defeated Van-Far 60-6 in the football season opener. Bobcat Marcus Starks added four TD’s on the night, two of which entered him into the Missouri State High School Activities Association record books for longest run in 25th and 23rd place. Bowling Green’s Owen Niemeyer also added a couple touchdowns and extra point attempts to the scoreboard. Van-Far’s only end zone entrance came with 30 seconds left in the game when Nikos Connaway ran one in to avoid the shutout.
