PIKE COUNTY, Mo. — Vicki Hansen, a client of the not-for-profit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) known as “The Fudge Lady,” gives a tin of her homemade confections to Don and Sherry McCarty during the Pike County Fair July 30. Hansen, who qualified for home weatherization services from NECAC, planned to use contributions received during the fair to help with postage for fudge she sends to active and retired military personnel around the world. NECAC provided information at the fair about its social services, public housing and community health programs.
