PIKE COUNTY, Mo. — Thursday evening started nice and toasty with the crowd filing through the main gate to watch this year’s second truck and tractor pull of the fair, bring their babies in to compete at the baby show and to support the area’s youth in this year’s Sale of Champions. When the rain began at 7pm the baby show was underway, the Sale of Champions was starting but the truck and tractor pull had to be canceled and the rest of the Western Speed Horse show was canceled as well. The rides shut down when the lightning began and the biggest portion of the crowd starting making their way to the exit. The baby show and diaper derby both were completed along with the sale. Below, is some of the 4-H projects on display in the main building.
