LOUISIANA, Mo. — The Louisiana Area Historical Museum recently held a contest to identify young people featured in a photo from 80 years ago. Museum vice president Brent Engel awarded a $25 gift card to Peggy Harvey Branstetter, who pointed out herself and named many others who appeared. The photo, donated by Dean and Juanita Thomas, was taken at the Louisiana Masonic Temple around 1940 and was part of an event called “A Tom Thumb Wedding.” The photo and other displays are available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at 304 Georgia in downtown Louisiana.
