LOUISIANA, Mo. — Peggy Harvey Branstetter writes down names of young people pictured in a photo at the Louisiana Area Historical Museum. The facility opened for the summer May 29, and is sponsoring a contest to see who can identify the most children pictured in the photo by matching their names with numbers that appear beside them.
Branstetter recognized herself as #37. The photo, donated by Dean and Juanita Thomas, was taken at the Louisiana Masonic Temple around 1940 and was part of an event called “A Tom Thumb Wedding.”
The contest runs through June 24. The winner will receive a $25 gasoline gift card. Entries may be made in person or mailed to the museum at 304 Georgia Street, Louisiana, Mo., 63353. Hours for the season are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
