
PIKE COUNTY, Mo. — PLTC’s welding students have competed in three different contests over the last month.
January 29th, students competed at Missouri Welding Institute (MWI). PLTC students took 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, 5th place, and 10th place (details below).
MWI Contest (Jan 29)
Josh Reid – 1st Full Ride scholarship to MWI worth $15,900 plus a Lincoln Ranger 225 welder
Brady Hubbard – 2nd 1/2 scholarship to MWI worth $7,950. plus Victor Journeyman Torch
Drew Songer 3rd 1/4 scholarship to MWI worth 3,975 plus Lincoln Auto darkening hood.
Dalton Eikel – 5th
David Kinne 10th
February 6th, students competed at the American Welding Academy. In this contest, our students took 1st – 10th places (details below). In both of these contests, students competed against over 100 students from multiple states.

February 12th, students competed at a regional SkillsUSA welding fabrication contest. Our students took first place in this contest and are now eligible to compete at the state level contest.
