LOUISIANA, Mo. —  The Louisiana R-II School District seeks action from the Missouri Attorney General on the license of a high school teacher following disciplinary actions last week.

School board members met in executive session on Thursday, Feb. 4. They voted unanimously to petition the state for a complaint on the teaching license of Chris Booth.

The board further voted unanimously last week to present Booth with a Separation Agreement and Release.

Reports confirm the matter involves numerous allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct with students. Booth is no longer with the district following a review of allegations.

A motion was made to authorize Superintendent Dr. Todd Smith to present Booth with the Separation Agreement and Release. Voting in favor were Jenna Loveless, Karl Dewey, Bill Capps, Pam Todd-Watts, Jim York and William Sheppard.

Action by the Attorney General’s Office could result in the revocation of Booth’s teaching certificate by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

In addition to teaching business, Booth served as a coach and advisor for the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
