BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — Chandra Roberts, Pike County Service Coordinator at the not-for-profit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC), puts a name tag on the Salvation Army Angel Tree at the Bowling Green Walmart.
There are more than 280 tags, each with the name of a needy Pike County child and a gift request. People are encouraged to select a tag and buy the item listed. Gifts should be delivered to Roberts weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 pm. by Dec. 23 at the NECAC Pike County Service Center, 805 Business Highway 61 in Bowling Green.
Among requests this year are toys, games and Legos. Volunteer Tiffany Cole helped put tags on the tree, which was donated by Walmart. More information is available by calling Roberts at 573-324-2207.
