LOUISIANA, Mo. — Five members of the Louisiana High School Interact Club helped decorate the large windows of the Louisiana Area Historical Museum for Christmas. The Interact club has been volunteering to do service projects in the community and this was a project that would benefit not only the Museum but also add to the overall appeal of the downtown area for the holidays.
Interact is a service club for high school students that is sponsored by the Louisiana Rotary Club. Jessica Graver is the LHS teacher in charge of this group. The connection between the Museum and Rotary has been long-standing with such projects as Rotary providing grant money to assist with the expense of new heating and air conditioning units.
Despite the fact that the annual Mid-Town Church Walk has been postponed until next year, the board members are still feeling the spirit of Christmas, especially after the willingness of the Interact members to do the decorating.
The Museum has a Facebook page that is kept updated with acquisitions and activities and also photos from past events. It can be found at “Louisiana Area Historical Museum”.
