
BOWLING GREEN, Mo. — A federal grant is on its way for home repairs in nine Missouri counties.
The North East Community Action Corporation has been awarded almost 50 thousand dollars in Housing Preservation Grant funding.
The announcement was made by President Donald Trump, USDA Missouri State Director Jeff Case and NECAC representatives.
The grant will pay for repairs at owner-occupied homes in Lewis, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Randolph and Shelby counties.
The work includes roof repairs and replacement, disabled accessibility, siding, minor plumbing and electrical work, and heating system repairs or replacements. NECAC can spend up to 65 hundred dollars per home.
