PIKE COUNTY, Ill. — The Pike County Illinois Health Department has been notified of another new COVD-19 case bringing the total number of positive cases to six. The positive case is a male in his 60’s. he is recovering at home in isolation. Contact tracing has been initiated.
Health officials want to reassure the public that immediate action is being taken by the health department when a positive case has been identified.
Pike County Health Department is encouraging residents to continue to follow social distancing guidelines, wear a face covering when unable to maintain six feet of social distance, clean and disinfect frequently touch surfaces, wash your hands frequently and stay home if ill or experiencing symptoms.
