LOUISIANA, Mo. — While over 50 boats were anchored on the Mississippi River to enjoy the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce’s fireworks display, eight participated in the Two Rivers Marina Lighted Boat Parade that followed.

Gary and Heather Orf won the overall contest by receiving the most likes on Two River’s Facebook page. However, a ‘Super Boater’ award was also given to Danny and Holly Leverenz.

According to Cindy Blaylock, owner of Two Rivers Marina, the holiday weekend was a busy and exciting for the marina.

“Fat Boys (Restaurant) was so busy they sold out of almost everything and even had to close early on Saturday and Sunday,” said Blaylock. “Special thanks to the chamber of commerce for giving the celebration  the go ahead.”

Blaylock added the marina’s Lighted Boat Parade will definitely happen next year and she expects to see even more participants.
