PIKE COUNTY, Mo. – Towns in Pike County, and throughout the area, are urging residents to limit visits to municipal builldings to essential business only, in compliance with recomendations by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Like the Pike County Courthouse, business continues at city halls. Mayors and city clerks throughout the area are discouraging people from coming in unless it is necessary.
In an effort to promote social distancing, Bowling Green City Hall is limiting visitors to one at a time in the lobby. City Administrator Linda Luebrecht noted that residents can may water bill payments online.
City officials suggest residents take advantage of dropboxes or even make payments over the phone or by mail.
