LOUISIANA — The Louisiana Community Betterment Association presented a total of $1,200 to three emergency organizations last week.
The funds were generated from raffle tickets sold for a chance to detonate the charges on the Champ Clark Bridge on Friday, Oct. 18. The winner was Mitchel Lemons of Nebo, Ill.
Last week members of LCBA presented three checks in the amount of $400 each to Louisiana first responders. Those receiving donations included the Louisiana Police Department, Louisiana Fire Department and Pike County Memorial Hospital EMS. The checks were presented on Thursday, Oct. 25.
LCBA chairperson Diana Huckstep said the organization wishes to thank the many people who purchased tickets to benefit the community’s first responders.
