A Multi-Agency Resource Center (or MARC) will be available for residents of Lincoln and Pike Counties who have been impacted by our recent flooding. For those unfamiliar with the term, a Multi-Agency Resource Center is where government agencies, humanitarian and service organizations, and similar entities come together at one location so that people who need the services or information offered by those groups can find it in a single location instead of having to travel to several different places. A list of participating agencies will be forthcoming.
LOCATION: Winfield High School, 3920 East Highway 47, Winfield, MO 63389
DATES: Monday, July 1st and Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019
TIMES: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM both days
Individuals and families applying for assistance are reminded to bring identification and verification of address to be eligible for assistance from some agencies.
The American Red Cross has also established a number for residents in Missouri and adjoining Illinois counties impacted by recent flooding to report damage and receive information for Red Cross recovery resources. The number is answered 24/7. Residents should call: 314-516-2769
Callers will be asked to provide their name, address and contact information. They will receive a follow-up call from a Red Cross volunteer. The volunteer will aid the caller in the development of an individualized recovery plan and inform them of available resources from partner agencies.

The following is a short explanation from Steve Bessimar with SEMA of what residents can expect from the A Multi-Agency Resource Center (or MARC):
“Multi-Agency Resource Centers set up around the state to help residents affected by the recent flooding and severe storms. MARCs are a one stop shop so that survivors can meet with non-profit agencies who can provide financial, health, mental, and spiritual support to them. “
“I don't think there will be someone there to specifically deal with businesses. The MARC is a one-stop shop for individuals affected by the flooding can receive some additional help from the various not-for-profit agencies set up at the MARC. They can also provide the survivors some health and mental health services and get them into the Disaster Case Management system in case there are additional needs during the recovery process. I think there are opportunities for residents to communicate their damages but I don't think they need to bring in documentation. If I get any additional info on this I will let you know ASAP.
