A woman who helps keeps the shelves stocked at the Louisiana Community Food Pantry is being recognized.
Sara Drummond is the recipient of this year’s Citizen of the Year Award from the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce. The organization held its annual banquet April 12th with a luau theme.
People who attended were urged to capitalize on the new Mississippi River bridge that will open later this year and other opportunities in the community.
The Citizen of the Year award came with a Missouri House Resolution presented by State Representative Jim Hansen of Frankford
Also honored were Chamber President Tim Jenkins as Chamber Member of the Year; Local historians Susan and Melissa Fregeau with the Community Betterment Award; and Michelle Niedner, Cindy Blaylock and Lori Lewis, who shared a special award for their key roles in the 2018 Louisiana Bicentennial Celebration.
