The Missouri Elks Northeast District Hoop Shoot was held Saturday January 5th in Louisiana. The top boy and girl in each of three age groups will advance to the State Hoop Shoot to be held in Kirkwood on February 2nd. Louisiana Lodge #791 is proud to be sponsoring three area youths in advancing to the State shoot. They are Shana Yates of Clarksville (12-13 girls winner), Jack Logan of Louisiana (12-13 boys winner) and Reece Wommack of Louisiana (10-11 girls winner). Also placing was Trinity Chatman of Louisiana (8-9 girls 3rd place). 29 youths from 5 Northeast District Elks Lodges participated. The Louisiana Lodge Team also came out on top with the most points overall in the day, winning a place on the "Top Shooter Team" trophy. This is only the second time the Louisiana Lodge Contestants have attained this feat.
