An area social service agency continues its success in helping the disadvantaged. The North East Community Action Corporation closed out another year of service at its annual banquet. President and CEO Don Patrick said NECAC remains financially strong and committed to helping the needy in 12 Missouri counties.

Board Chairman Lyndon Bode of Marion County said it was an honor to serve an agency that helps thousands of people become self-sufficient. The 36-member NECAC board was installed and guests remembered two board members who died in the past year.
