On Sept. 17 the Pike County Missouri Sheriff’s Office received a report from Lincoln County Dispatch of a shooting that had taken place near the Hamburg River Access on State Rout P in Southeast Pike County. One male was transported to a St Charles County Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury to his leg.

Initial reports indicate that one male, who may have been intoxicated, accidently discharged the shotgun injuring himself in the foot, and the other male in the leg. This incident is still under investigation.

All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent by the courts until proven guilty in a court of law.
