Louisiana Elks Lodge #791
Mark your calendar for July 22nd from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the Elks Car Seat Event. The event includes car seat safety checks, food, activities and bike helmets.
Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Meeting Thursday, June 29
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission will hold its monthly meeting at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 29th. The meeting will be held in the Bowling Green High School auditorium, 700 West Adams Street in Bowling Green. The meeting is expected to last around 3 hours, and the public is invited to attend.
Toward the end of the meeting, the Commission will take action on the consideration of proposals for U.S. Route 54 Mississippi River Bridge Design-Build Project. It is anticipated the Commission will award the project of the replacement of the Champ Clark Bridge to one of the four teams who are vying for the project.

2nd Annual 5k Walk/Run
Sign up is now open for the 2nd annual Run for the Hills 5k which will take place at Tievoli Hills Resort on August 5th at 9 a.m.
$20 entry fee for those that sign up before July 14th and $25 after.

The Louisiana Bicentennial Committee is starting the search for vendors for the 2018 celebration! Vendors are needed from June 30th to July 1st. Please help get the word out!

Allparts Phone Sale
Allparts recently upgraded to a new phone system. As a result, they will be selling the telephones that are no longer in use. Money raised through the sale will be donated to the Sunshine Club. All 20 phones are in working order. $100 or best offer.
The Louisiana Evening Rotary will be showing The Lego Batman movie at Wallace Park on July 15th at dusk.
Admission is free for children under 5.

15 and up- $5
*Donate a canned good to receive $1 off admission.
Concession stand will be open serving snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn and drinks for $1 each.
Proceeds go to Lincoln Park renovations.
Bridge Closing July 5th
Route 79 bridge over Noix Creek on the south side of Louisiana will close on Wednesday, July 5, for construction of a new bridge for approximately 80 days. The contractor is L.F. Krupp Construction of Ellisville who bid $1.4 million dollars. Official MoDOT detour is US 54 west to US 61, south to Route D at Eolia.
The June Chamber Member of the Month is The Louisiana Elks Lodge #791. June 30th is the anniversary date from the establishment of the Lodge in 1902. The Lodge currently has 367 members. In addition to the many charitable programs the Lodge contributes to, there are also scholarships awarded at four school districts that usually total nearly fifteen thousand dollars annually.
