A Tri-State agency is racking up another award for its housing efforts.

USDA is recognizing the North East Community Action Corporation for overseeing a loan program that helps people buy a home.

NECAC began processing 502 program loans in 2015. Earlier this year, the agency was authorized by USDA to become an intermediary. That means NECAC works with other non-profit agencies in packaging and reviewing loans for homebuyers in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa.

The 502 program features low interest loans and no down payment. NECAC can work with homebuyers in all three states. If you’d like to know more, call 573-324-6622.
