PITTSFIELD, IL. Illinois State Police announces Trooper Michael Kindhart promotion to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Kindhart is a 1985 graduate of Camp Point Central High School and received a Bachelor degree in Education from Quincy University in 1991.
Sergeant Kindhart began his career with the Illinois State Police in March 2001 after serving eleven years as the Athletic Director, Basketball Coach and Physical Education Teacher at Payson Seymour High School. Upon completion of his training at the Illinois State Police Academy, he was assigned to Pittsfield, District 20 as a patrol officer.
Sergeant Kindhart’s primary duties have been focused on Public Information and Safety Education. He also serves as a Child Passenger Safety Instructor, Field Recruiter and First Responder Instructor. Sgt. Kindhart continues to display exemplary leadership and work ethic. He was recognized as a nominee for the 2008 Quincy Exchange Club Officer of the Year.
Sergeant Kindhart also serves as a role model to the youth of the community. He displays strong family values, as well as dedication and commitment to his assignment and profession. Sgt. Kindhart resides in Adams County with his wife Karmon and two children Bailee and Brady.
