The Pike County Missouri Relay for Life is gearing up for their annual event. To boost the relay spirit event organizers are asking patrons of Pike County to participate in the contest “Paint the Town Purple.” There will be two categories, one for businesses and one for individuals. Everyone is encouraged to decorate their businesses or homes to show their support of this year’s Pike County Relay for Life set for Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Pike County Fairgrounds. Registrations for the contest must be submitted by Wednesday, Aug. 24. Pictures of your decorations will be taken on Friday, Aug. 26 and then displayed at the relay event. Votes will be taken in the form of monetary donations at the event and all proceeds will go to the Relay For Life of Pike County.
